I had the joy of assisting Heather Marie Photography at Marissa and Joe Plavin’s beautiful wedding at The Inn at Leola Village, one of the most charming Lancaster, PA wedding venues. The day started with soft, warm light, colorful florals, and a wedding party full of excitement. Their vibrant color palette instantly set the tone for a lively and joy-filled celebration.
A Sudden Downpour Before the Ceremony
Just minutes before the ceremony, the weather decided to add its own flair. An absolute downpour swept across the venue! It was dramatic, fast, and completely unexpected. But what could have been a stressful moment turned into one of the most memorable parts of the day. As soon as the rain passed, the grounds glowed with that beautiful, soft post-storm light photographers dream of.
A Heartfelt Ceremony After the Storm
When Marissa and Joe finally walked down the aisle, the world seemed to pause for them. The ceremony felt even more intimate and meaningful after the unexpected weather shift.
